Following the release of debut EP "Numeral" (2020), Swiss drummer & producer Philippe Adam continues his sonic journey by paying tribute to a penchant for booming sub-basses, intricate percussion and gloomy soundscapes. Having since moved to Berlin, numeral picks up on very current feelings of melancholy, longing and disorientation that originate in the constricting reality of 2021. Nevertheless, in addition to the somewhat eerie mood, a touch of confidence shimmers through, which reminds us of the nights in which we could still enjoy the beats in dark cellars pounding from booming boxes.

The single track "Landing" emerged trough a collaboration with Bristol based producer Will Brown aka Brecon, who first gained attention in 2018 with his debut EP "Cairn" and who his best known for his remixes for Max Cooper, Rob Clouth and Morcheeba. Brecon's signature synth arpeggios and melodic piano parts simultaneously complement and contrast the ominous atmosphere created by numerals careful arranged production. The result is a persistently evolving four-on-the-floor dance track with a great payoff.
